CONSTANTA: Conducting Masterclass 2026

Taught by Gaddiel Dombrowner and with the collaboration of the Constanta State Opera Orchestra and soloists,
this 5 days Masterclass takes place in the beautiful city of Constanta in Romania.
The masterclass is designed to help conductors at all stages of their career to improve their conducting skills, with no age limit.

Only 8 Conductors accepted
90 minutes total podium time with Maestro Dombrowner & Constanta State Opera orchestra & Soloists
All conductors conduct in the final concert
No age limit, all nationalities are welcome

The masterclass will be led by conductor Gaddiel Dombrowner.

French-Israeli Conductor Gaddiel Dombrowner is an acclaimed conductor whose energetic performances and musical creativity have resonated with audiences around the world. Gaddiel is a prize winner of numerous conducting competitions such as the 1st prize at the Koussevitzky Conducting Competition (2022) in Italy, the 1st prize at the Athens Masterclass Competition (2021), the 1st prize and orchestra prize at the Turchak Conducting Competition (2017) in Ukraine, the 2nd prize at the BBCA Conducting Competition (2021) in England and the 3rd prize at the Blue Danube Opera Conducting Competition (2021) in Bulgaria.

Gaddiel has conducted orchestras from around the world, among others the : Lviv INSO Symphony Orchestra, Constanta State Opera, Orchestra Sinfonica Citta di Grosseto, Vidin Symphony Orchestra, Athens Philharmonia Orchestra, Stara Zagora State Opera, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, Varna State Opera, National Academic Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, Kunming International Philharmonic, Vaasa Symphony Orchestra, Virtuosi Brunensis Orchestra, Florence Conservatory “Cherubini” Orchestra and South Denmark Philharmonic, Jerusalem Street Orchestra, Ashdod Symphony Orchestra & Galilee Chamber Orchestra.

Participants are welcome to prepare as much as they wish from the repertoire, but they must prepare at least :
1 mvt from the symphony, 1 overture & 1 operatic work (aria/duet)

Daily Schedule

July 6-9
10:00-13:00 – Daily masterclass
16:00-18:00 – Review of the daily videos & time for discussion and questions with Maestro Dombrowner.

July 10
10:00-13:00 – General rehearsal
19:00 – Final concert for all conductors

Active conductors: 1700 euros
Passive conductors: 250 euros
Accommodation (flight, meals and hotel) are to be taken care of by the participants.
– Applications are free of charge
– All sessions & concert will be video recorded in frontal view and given to the conductors. (Conductors of course are welcome to bring their own cameras and film themselves as well)
– Diplomas will be awarded at the final concert to all conductors.
– For any recommendations about hotels in the city, ask us and we will be happy to help.
